It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law. (Psalm 119:126)

This blog is in tandem with the previous blog, What is Sin?
Knowing what the Law is, so you can know what the Father says sin is, is paramount for you to study and make an essential part of your life because powerful forces are determined on replacing the Father’s Law with their own set of rules – with the intent of forcing them upon everyone. They have made significant progress.
For where no law is, there is no transgression. (Romans 4:15b)
If there is no transgression, do you need the grace (unmerited favor) of Jesus Christ? You only need grace if you are a sinner, but there is no sin if there is no law (see What is Sin?).
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish [histēmi – G2476 – to stand, hold up, present] the law. (Romans 3:31)
Because of their misunderstanding of Paul’s words (2Peter 3:16), the Christian church has tied themselves into theological, illogical knots with their rejection of the Law and sin.

The major force behind this has been the Roman Catholic Church, who, over the centuries, has neutered the Protestant church and essentially made them de facto partners.
At one point, at great risk to their lives, the Protestant reformers steered people to a scripture-based understanding of Christ as the only path to salvation:
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. (John 14:6)
They taught prophecy (especially Daniel) and that the Popes were the antichrist of the scriptures (I am working on a blog concerning prophecy and the antichrist, but it is not ready for publication). Today, prophecy is rarely examined, and most all the Protestant churches seek ecumenical cooperation with the Vatican (cooperation with the antichrist?).
The Catholic church claims that its Popes are both infallible and able to change the Word of Yahweh by their own authority.
Infallibility belongs
in a special way to the pope as head of the bishops (Matt. 16:17–19; John 21:15–17). As Vatican II remarked, it is a charism [an extraordinary or supernatural ability given to a person by the Holy Spirit for the good of the church] the pope “enjoys in virtue of his office, when, as the supreme shepherd and teacher of all the faithful, who confirms his brethren in their faith (Luke 22:32), he proclaims by a definitive act some doctrine of faith or morals. Therefore his definitions, of themselves, and not from the consent of the Church, are justly held irreformable, for they are pronounced with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, an assistance promised to him in blessed Peter.” (Papal Infallibility – Catholic Answers; https://www.catholic.com/tract/papal-infallibility)
He [the Pope] can pronounce sentences and judgments in contradiction to the right of nations, and to the law of God and man . . . He can free himself from the commands of the apostles, he being their superior, and from the rules of the Old Testament. (The Roman Decretalia – ChSa 151.3)
The pope has power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ. (Decretal de Translat. Episcop. Cap. – ChSa 152.1)
If he believes he can change God’s Laws, then he must think he is god on earth:
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2Thessalonians 2:3-4)

Watch how the Catholic Church has changed the Ten Commandments (taken from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2d Ed., 1997):

Notice the missing words from the catechism on the right? The Catholic Church has removed the Father’s pedigree. The catechism god is a generic god – it could mean Allah to one reader or Shiva to another (any god fits perfectly). Exodus states He is the one who took Israel out of Egypt. This precludes the false contention that all religions have the same god, but with a different name.

This is not a typo – there is nothing in the right column because the Catholic church just eliminated this Commandment.

Throughout its history, the church has venerated all sorts of relics and told its followers to pray to them for healing, comfort, time off of purgatory, etc. Often the adherent had to pay for the privilege of worshiping these relics (indulgences – one of the evil practices Martin Luther protested against). The “Bathtub Madonna” seen in many Catholic churches and Catholics’ yards is descended from Diana of the Ephesians (a pagan goddess – Acts 19).
The second Commandment is very inconvenient for Catholics, as well as many other religions.

The Catholic church took the third Commandment, shortened it, and made it their second Commandment in their catechism.
The sinner may perhaps hold himself guiltless, and think there is no harm in it, but God, who is jealous for his honour, will not hold him guiltless. Yet more is implied – it is a common figure of speech, called meiosis, where more is understood than is expressed. God will himself be the avenger of those that take his name in vain; and they will find it a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God – if not in this world, yet in the world to come. (BibleHub)
The Catholic church removed verbiage about a penalty because it wants to be the authority that dictates what the penalty will be, not the Creator.

Roman Emperor Constantine, who converted to Christianity and established Catholicism as the Empire’s primary religion, changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday (“Sun – day” – Sol Invictus: Invincible Sun or Unconquered Sun was the official sun god of the late Roman Empire). The Catholic church later claimed it changed the day by its own authority.
The catechism also changed the name of the day from “the Sabbath” to “the Lord’s Day”. The reasons for the Commandment (given in Exodus) were removed because they negated the church’s authority to change the day.
The Catholic Church, . . . by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday. (Catholic Mirror – the official organ of Cardinal Gibbons, September 23, 1893)
Sunday is founded, not of scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic tradition. As there is no scripture for the transfer of the day of rest from the last to the first day of the week, Protestants ought to keep their Sabbath on Saturday and thus leave Catholics in full possession of Sunday. (Catholic Record, September 17, 1893)

The idea that Sunday should be worshiped because it was the day that Christ rose from the dead is poppy-cock. Christ died on Wednesday afternoon and rose on Saturday (see my blog, or any dozens of blogs: Passover (Pesach) – Then & Now). Also, “the Lord’s Day” is not a day of the week – Biblically it is always referred to as the day that Christ returns to the Earth and kicks ass (Revelation 1:10).

Again, the church eliminates the second clause because it identifies the authority of the recipient’s good fortune as the Hebrew’s God. The church wants to be hailed as the authority on earth.
The United Nations (UN) has ratified an international treaty called the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). If signed on to by the United States, the government would have the right (without having to obtain a court order) to intervene and override parental choices it deemed were not in the best interest of the child. Children would be required to be raised in a religiously “tolerant manner.”
The American Bar Association, which supports the treaty, has expounded that teaching children that Christ is the only way to Yahweh violates the spirit and meaning of the UNCRC. (http://www.hslda.org/)
The Catholic church has not objected because they teach that the only way to the Father is adherence to the Catholic faith. They prefer you talk to a priest (or to one of the dead saints, or even the Mother Mary) rather than talk to your Savior. (Bothering Jesus – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUP2QjlfhY8)

These two are essentially the same. The Hebrew, though, in Exodus is mistranslated: The word, “kill” (ratsach H7523 – to dash in pieces, i.e. kill (a human being), especially to murder) should have been translated, “murder”. The church, after thousands of years and dozens of translations (most of which correctly use murder), chose to still use kill.

Of course, the Catholic church has condoned lying, deception, and killing to further the reach of the church for centuries (e.g., the inquisition, the Jesuit Oath – https://christianobserver.net/the-society-of-jesus-jesuits-complete-oath-of-extreme-induction/).
The church has stood against the slaughter of tens of millions of children through abortion, but they do not take steps against Catholic politicians that push for government (i.e., taxpayer) funded child murder. It is just a matter of time, though, before they embrace this abomination (labeled a human right by the UN) to further the cause of extremist climate activism (all modern Popes have embraced environmentalism).
The Catholic church’s stance that a human priest can absolve all sins – including murder (and that Christ is bound by the absolution of the priests – https://www.catholic.com/encyclopedia/absolution) – make it a favorite amongst murderous, violent criminal elements (e.g., the Mafia, Mexican cartels) because the really bad hombres believe they can do anything and it will not be held against them as sin if they go to confession – especially if they make large contributions to the church and/or threaten harm to the priests if they don’t absolve the criminals.

These two are essentially the same, though the Catholic catechism is still one behind.
The Bible emphasizes that adultery is not just a person cheating on their spouse. Spiritual adultery is cheating on the Father through the worship of idols – the Father divorced Israel because they “defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks” [carved wooden idols]. (Jeremiah 3:6-9)
This is exactly what the second Commandment (the one the Catholic church completely ignored in their catechism – see above) warned against.

These two are essentially the same, though the Catholic catechism is still one behind.
The Catholic church acknowledges the right to private property with one caveat, “the use of private property is circumscribed by the necessities of social living.” Based on the necessity, the right becomes very fluid. Theft therefore can be legal.
We must always recall that the right to private property is subject to modifications which may be imposed by the requirements of the common good and solidarity. (Catholic Social Teaching – https://capp-usa.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Catholic-Social-Teaching-and-the-Right-to-Private-Property-The-Churchs-Often-Misunderstood-Position-Digital-Article.pdf).
Whatever certain people have in superabundance is due, by natural law, to the purpose of succoring the poor.
If the need be so manifest and urgent, that it is evident that the present need must be remedied by whatever means be at hand (for instance when a person is in some imminent danger, and there is no other possible remedy), then it is lawful for a man to succor his own need by means of another’s property, by taking it either openly or secretly: nor is this properly speaking theft or robbery. (St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologia)
Canon Law 1254: The Catholic Church has an innate right to acquire, retain, administer and alienate temporal goods in pursuit of its proper ends independently of civil power.
Canon Law 1260: The Church has an innate right to require from the Christian faithful whatever is necessary for the ends proper to it.
Forced acquisition, by any other name, is still stealing.
We can even steal from Yahweh:
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2).
The traditions of men steal from the integrity of the Word. Taking away (purposely changing) from Yahweh’s Commandments is stealing the truth.
That is exactly what the devil tries to do to us. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (John 10:10).

These two are essentially the same, though the Catholic catechism is still one behind.
This is so serious it is included in the seven things Yahweh hates:
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)
Forms of lying are mentioned four times in the seven things (“lying tongue”, “wicked imaginations”, “false witness”, and “he that soweth discord”). Justice can never be achieved if witnesses in a matter are allowed to lie and no punishment is exacted for the falsehoods. We cannot live civilly amongst each other without justice.
Once again, the Catholic church justified and sanctioned lying by the Jesuit Order in order to subvert and defeat the Protestant Reformation.
The changing of Yahweh’s Laws to fit the needs of the Catholic church (as illustrated by this blog) is a blatant example of the church lying to its parishioners. If Yahweh’s Words are truth (Psalms 119:151, 160; John 17:17), then changing them is creates a lie.

The Catholic catechism gets to ten Commandments by essentially splitting Verse 17 in half and assigning each half the status of a separate Commandment (despite both addressing the same subject).
Coveting is a thought and an action crime, but the thought comes before the action and the thought, if left unrestrained, is likely to bring about the wrongful action.
Envy is like a gateway drug – left unchecked, it can lead to any number of sins. King David committed adultery with Bathsheba and murdered her husband, Uriah (2Samuel 11), but it started with David watching Bathsheba from afar and desiring her greatly. As king, he could have had any woman in the kingdom he desired, but envy caused him to covet his neighbor’s wife.
Since Church Canon has declared that need can constitute a right to steal someone else’s private property (see discussion under the eighth Commandment above), then need can enable and justify envy in the same way that it enables and justifies stealing. The same need can thus nullify both the eighth and the tenth Commandments (or in the Catholic catechism, the seventh, nineth and tenth Commandments)
Socialism is the ideology of envy. Don’t think it’s fair that others have more than you? Your leaders (including the Catholic church, who claims the right to appropriate the property of its faithful – Canon Laws 1254 and 1260, see above) will take what the rich have (this class of people will eventually include the “not so rich”, the “doing okay”, and finally the “barely scraping by” as the leaders drain more and more wealth from its citizens) and give it to others (generally themselves, first, then, what little is left will go to the “poor”).

The desire for a New World Order based on natural law and human rights (who determines what is natural and what is a right? Probably whoever is at the top of the NWO) continue to gather more support and more strength. The Catholic church seeks to hold sway over this one-world political entity, wielding power as they did after the collapse of the Roman Empire. Since they believe their morality is superior to everyone else’s (even superior to scripture), it is only fitting that they believe they should lead the world to a more moral society.
They have changed Yahweh’s Law into non-offensive, virtual gibberish so they can accommodate any power greater than themselves, and consolidate all others in an ecumenical conglomeration of political powers and religious philosophies, making them indispensable to ruling the world.
The Catholic church (especially the Pope) has assumed god-like authority in its administration of doctrine and the gospel. Like the Roman emperors of old, it is an easy task (once you have absolute control over the masses – something they strove for for centuries, but failed) to take the next step and declare themself a god – the Son of Perdition (see my blog, The Man of Sin – https://graftedonline.com/2026/04/13/the-man-of-sin-2thessalonians-21-10/).
Those who stood against the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages faced the cruelty of the Inquisition. Imagine what will befall those who stand against an all-power church that rules the entire world.
Do not be fooled by the promises and policies of men and their organizations. Men are flawed, so their policies and institutions are therefore equally imperfect.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:24)
Christ is the answer – he is the Savior. Christ is the rightful king (1Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14; 19:16). His return will finally end man’s bloodthirsty quest for ultimate power.
Don’t look to a church to help you find Christ, look to the scriptures. Churches are businesses and are more concerned with getting butts in seats – your salvation is secondary. Even if they appear to be scripture oriented, they are probably a tax-exempt 501c3 entity and will not address scriptures that could antagonize groups that would lobby to have the church’s tax-exempt status revoked.
Know the Word because you have studied it. Know Yahweh’s Law because you have studied it. Don’t allow yourself to be deceived and be on the wrong side of eternity.
Much (80%?) of this blog is a blatant plagiarism of a Walter Vieth teaching (Twisting the Ten Commandments – https://adtv.watch/doctrines-of-demons/the-character-of-god). I made it less verbose and added some pertinent references from my book.
My discussion of the Ten Commandments (as well as numerous articles on faith and salvation) can be found at my website (https://graftedonline.com/) – each Commandment having its own blog.

Now for the shameless plug. My book, GRAFTED: Embracing Torah, is a good starting point on what the Law is and how to apply it to your life. It gives a good overview of the Law of God and includes a chapter on making the Word your own: how to study the Word, how to use interlinears, lexicons, context, etc.
With or without anyone’s reference book, grab your Bible and start today (don’t rely on others – learn from others, but don’t rely on them) – do it as if your life depends on it.
